Founded on the principles of human rights and diversity, the Peace Tent Organization was established in Raqqa by a group of dedicated young activists, both men and women.
Their goal has been to build a free society whose members believe in pluralism, and peaceful coexistence — with genuine respect for justice and human rights. Peace Tent goals include the spreading a culture of human rights and effective participation in humanitarian work.
The Organization also presses home the need for free and open dialogue between all people. Which can then motivate more citizens to participate in their own society, and to think positively about their mutual futures. Finally, the Peace Tent Organization makes great efforts to work with local people to reduce the twin scourges of extremist ideology and racism in Raqqa.
