Furatna for Development was established to raise awareness in education, health and women’s empowerment, and by contributing to the reconstruction of Deir Ezzor through the implementation of service programs in such sectors as agriculture and education. The organization seeks to develop the agricultural infrastructure in Deir Ezzor, empowering the youth by providing training and work opportunities, supporting child protection and education programs. It also promote women’s rights.
The organization had a remarkable activity in Deir Ezzor, where it succeeded in rehabilitating the irrigation lines that feed the Sixth Sector, a project that benefited nearly 200,000 people in eight villages.
In the education sector, it has organized psycho-social training courses for teachers, implemented cleaning campaigns, provided heating fuel, and conducted restoration works for several schools in and around Deir Ezzor.
